Electricity Time-of-Use Comparison / methodology notes

How Rate Replay calculates your result

Replay interval consumption against explicit flat and two-period tariffs. Separate same-usage savings from hypothetical load shifting.

Start with evidence, not a score

Import chronological interval usage with explicit UTC offsets and the actual interval duration. Reject overlap and expose gaps. Assign energy to peak and off-peak windows in the utility timezone, then apply the entered tariff components.

Read the assumptions

Compare both tariffs on exactly the same consumption. Show load shifting only as a separate scenario, with unmodeled tariff rules disclosed. These are user-entered tariff scenarios, not verified current offers or guaranteed savings. Reconcile a complete bill and all tariff terms before switching.

Use a reproducible workflow

Enter your own measurements or import records using the published CSV schema. Save a local scenario before making a change, compare the result, and export a copy with the assumptions intact. Example inputs are not a verified catalog or a live data feed. The source references explain the underlying terminology; they do not independently verify information you enter.
